Have you ever dreamed of taking a trip to the South Pacific? Maybe Tahiti, Bora Bora, or Samoa?
How about the Suamalie Islands in the heart of the South Pacific? Of course, you can only go there by reading A Heart for News and the rest of the series, since our beautiful setting is fictitious.
The islands were discovered by a French explorer who settled the land by giving parcels away to his French friends and bringing in Samoans as freed men to work on the plantations.
French and Samoan culture, language, architecture, and values give the islands a unique flavor.
A Heart for News chiefly takes place on the capital island of Laumua, although characters take trips to several of the other islands. Ville Capitale is the capital city with pink stone government buildings. The luxury Chateau-sur-Mer Resort outside of the city is made of the same, somewhat ubiquitous pink stone.
Take a trip to the Suamalie Islands where palm trees sway, the sand and sea pulse with life, and the people will steal your heart.
