The Main City of Le Cadeau Île
Naming characters, place names, and cities is one of my favorite parts of writing. I’ve spent hours researching French, Samoan, and Polynesian names to use. Of course, I have Americans like Steve, Rachel, Tamzin, and Wentworth “Sully” Sullivan.
Did you know the name of Le Cadeau Île’s main city is Lupesina? It means dove and incorporates the idea of hope, purity, and peace, while the island’s name means the island gift.
Did you also know the name of the city doesn’t appear until my third-year book, Rachel’s Chaplain?
