Sharing behind-the-scenes fun facts with you as we begin the countdown to the release the Keeping Christmas collection, Volume 2, October 18.
Because sharing a meal around the dining room table is a bonding experience nurturing a sense of family or community, food usually play a prominent role in whatever I write.
In A Castle for Christmas, I emphasize the food that Sadie and her estranged father have in common, prepared by the cook, Mrs. Sweeney. Sadie indulged in charcuterie tidbits, split-pea soup, pot roast, Parker House rolls, biscotti, Dundee Cake, and other teatime treats.
I always make myself hungry when I write scenes around the dining room or tea table.
